Interview With Troy Dizon - About TDD, The Clients, Team, etc.
This transcript is from an interview done on Troy that was on video here in San Antonio before he left for Singapore City for the 3rd Masterclass. Instead of posting the video we thought of just writing it up for you guys. Thanks - Dean.
Troy, thanks for taking the time to answer these questions.
No problem, just shoot.
How effective is the Super-polished TDD Theory you’ve developed? Now that you’ve got free-reign to literally teach whatever you deem is important and effective in dating.
It’s sound, it’s been proven consistent, and furthermore, it’s beautifully simple. Ever since the beginning I have dreamed of putting my unique methods of teaching as well to couple the theory and it’s been magic ever since. Results are almost daily I kid you not! Check my cell phone. (laughs)
What people are starting to realize is that this stuff doesn’t come from psychology, or hear-say. It’s come from years of experience not just by me but by the people around me and the growing army of clientele and coaches we’ve amassed over the said time period. I didn’t take an NLP book and hacked it to find parallels with dating. No offense to NLP I think it’s great for sales and other things, but women are women and they’re not that hard to crack if you study women. If you are going to take a Math test tomorrow and study Science, well then you’re screwed. This whole thing came from studying women.
To add to that, I think that our coaching skills are phenomenal at TDD. As the head of the family, I tell the coaches not to make people hear what they want to hear, I make sure our students get the facts straight and know what their strengths and their weaknesses are. The fact that we make sure the clients, at least in the US pay for their own traveling and lodging expenses says a lot about their tenacity to learn this stuff. Frankly I don’t like window shoppers. That’s what I experienced in my previous years of working. I want guys who are fierce, who want to stop being spectators and really commit to action. Those are who I can mold into 24/7 Attractive men.
What makes TDD Special that you’re able to grow at an alarming rate without any Internet promotion?
It’s our past, current, and future clientele. We would be nowhere without them preaching the word on TDD, battling what is considered the “status quo” of picking up women in saying that “hey, we don’t need any lines, we don’t need to tackle approach anxiety or amoging other guys…” there’s just a natural swagger in knowing yourself in such a great degree. I would like to think that it’s not just a competence issue. You could know all the moves, all the theories… even go as far as learning psychology itself, but without solid self-knowledge and a coach to increase your awareness levels you don’t have the vehicle to push it forward.
We have the humblest guys around. I have never, in my entire career, had guys who signed up because they wanted to hurt or manipulate women. It’s just guys that wanted a legitimate shot in understanding the science of being a confident man, or guys who were looking for some structure or consistency with their results. One of the best examples of their humility is how they take my infamous verbal beat downs. I hate to say it, but it hurts for me to do it sometimes. It’s not fun to yell at someone repeatedly but for me it’s one of the best expressions of love you could ever give your student. I believe, and this is based on my experience with some failed mentees of mine who have gone astray, that when you stop giving them feedback out of their growing egos they’re done because there’s a lot more to learn than what they think.
You’ve been very effective in branding this company and getting the students you want, was that the plan from the beginning?
I have said this before and I’ll say it again: we’ve done our best to shut out the weirdo’s, the cheaps, and the theorists with our material and our message. There’s a reason why when someone brings up the pick-up artist stuff it’s almost like a firefight in the podcasts because we don’t really want those guys. We’ve tried our best to really project our message to guys who either want the best way to transition out of it, or to guys who want to be saved from even getting into it. It’s such a downward spiral mentally once you’ve gotten into that stuff. (It’s why Champions of Choice 9 was named “The Detox Process”). It’s funny in the Philippines there’s this little company out there taking shots at Nash Casten and I’ll say on the record that we want none of their business. They can promote their stuff and they won’t lose a dime, even if it’s a cheap dime. We have our own way of building our army of great guys and it’s definitely NOT promoting to pick up forums the way they do.
Let’s Talk about the Switch Ups in the Roster. Where are the other guys that used to be on the Podcasts and all?
I’ll tell you. This business is more difficult than people make it out to be. Some guys think they can approach, post a few credible reports and do a few seminar talks for free and they can just run things without a solid knowledge of all the dimensions of the business. I won’t go and talk about each guy that came and went, but for some guys it’s just too much. TDD truly demands more from our team when it comes to business, and well some guys can take it and some guys can’t. That’s just the nature of the business. You have to pour in hours and hours and hours of work if you want something majestic to happen.
How is your Dating Life Nowadays?
Well, I just turned single recently, and I’m happy with the decision. Obviously breaking up with someone is not an easy thing at all, but sometimes things happen and you have to do it eventually. It’s been good getting back on the horse, and I’m not in a rush. I will do the same things, which is project me and see what sticks. It’s X=X all over again for me.
(X = X from the TDD Wiki means, “You attract what you project”) Thank you so much Troy for the Interview and hope to talk to you soon.
